Well, this is one of the more remarkable freebie offers I've heard of in quite awhile -- free turkeys are available for active duty military personnel, including guards and reservists, this Thanksgiving!

Toyota of Boerne has teamed up with Clear Channel and Walmart to give away free turkeys to military service members on Friday, November 22 from 9am to 6pm.

The first 2000 military personnel to show up at Toyota of Boerne with their valid military ID will score a free Thanksgiving turkey!  Limit one per household.

Uniformed personnel can eat for 25% off their bill at all San Antonio Las Palapas Mexican Cafe locations.  That includes military personnel, law enforcement offices, EMS, and firefighters!

No coupon is needed -- if you're in your uniform, you'll be eligible for your discount.  Simple as that.  If you're not in uniform, however, you will need to show current proof of ID (like a military ID or a law enforcement badge) to get your discount.

Veterans Day 2013 Freebies: Free San Antonio Symphony Concert

The San Antonio Symphony, in conjunction with the USAF Band of the West, will be hosting a free Veterans Day concert on Sunday, November 10, 2013.

The eighth annual Veterans Day: Salute To Service show starts at 7pm at the Majestic Theatre.

The free tickets can be picked up in person at the Symphony Box Office, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9am – 5pm.
